Itinerary in Summary



  • July 19th - Aug 5th :- Puerto Banus, Spain  ......
  • Aug 5th - Aug 10th :- UK travelling in motorhome .......
  • Aug 10th - Aug 17th:- Tenby Wales ...... 
  • Aug 17th - Aug 25th :- Long Ditton, London ...... 
  • Aug 25th - Sept 17th :- West Sussex ...... 
  • Sept 18th - Sept 27th :- Dubai, UAE ....... THE START!
We Leave the UK from Gatwick at 12:20 on the 18th September, with a stop over in Kiev... just enough time to grab some chicken stuffed with Garlic Butter (if only they had a name for this yummy dish!!). we arrive in Dubai at 02:10 on the 19th September

We then spend 4 days at Atlantis, before spending 3 at Bab al Sham in the desert, and then back to Atlantis for the last 3 days.

  • Sept 27th - Sept 29th :- Hanoi, Vietnam ...... 
We depart from Dubai at 06:25 with a quick stop at in Doha (Qatar) arriving in Hanoi at 22:05, We spend the first 3 nights at the Charming 2 Hotel

  • Sept 29th - Oct 2nd :- Halong Bay, Vietnam ...... 
We get up early on the 30th September to depart for Halong bay, where we will spend 3 days and 2 nights on the Emotion Junk.

  • Oct 2nd - Oct 5th :- Hoi An, Vietnam ..... 
We get dropped off by the Emotion Junk team at the reunification express train station back in Hanoi, where we will be travelling over night to Hoi An (starting at 19:00 and arriving the next day at 10:30. here we will be picked up by our hosts at the Betel Garden Homestay to have a birthday party for Felix, and then stay for 2 nights

  • Oct 5th - Oct 9th :- Nha Trang, Vietnam ...... 
After 2 days in Hoi An, we rejoin the reunification express for our continuing Journey south to Nha Trang, where we spend 3 nights at the La Paloma Hotel


  • Oct 9th - Oct 12th :- Saigon, Vietnam......
After 3 days in Nha Trang we rejoin the Reunification express for one last time , travelling overnight to our destination Saigon, we we spend 3 nights at the Somerset Serviced apartments

  • Oct 12th - Oct 16th :- Chiang Mai, Thailand ...... 
We leave Saigon at 10:20 flying to Chiang Mai with a short stop in Bangkok, we arrive in Chiang Mai at 14:05, where we will be picked up by our hosts from the Secret Garden. and we sty at the Secret garden for  5 nights before boarding the overnight train to Bangkok

  • Oct 17th - Oct 22nd :- Bangkok, Thailand ..... 
We finish the main structured element of the Journey in Bangkok where we stay for 3 nights at the Sathorn Vista, a serviced apartment just outside Bangkok


  • Oct 22nd - Nov 12th :- Island Hopping, Thailand ...... 
From here we will take a less formal path south from Bangkok, stopping at various islands and staying as long as we want, slowly working ourselves south to Malaysia, conscious that our Visa runs out on the 12th November.

Ko Adang
Ko Lanta
Ko Muk
Ko Sukom
Koh Lipe
Koh Phi Phi
Koh Chang

  • Nov 12th - Nov 20th :- Malaysia ...... 
At this stage we have an equally informal approach to Malaysia, however we believe the route will be:

Langkawi
Penang
Cameron Highlands
Kuala Lumpur


We will continue to follow the train route south, and eventually take the over night train from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore

  • Nov 20th - Nov 23rd :- Singapore ...... 
We spend 2 nights in Singapore staying at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, before boarding the cruise ship for our traip across the ocean to Australia


  • Nov 23rd - Dec 9th :- Cruise Ship to Australia ...... 
We board the Celebrity Solstice Cruise ship for a 16 night cruise across to australia, stopping at many points along the way including Bali and the great barrier reef


Cruise Itinerary

  • Dec 9th - Dec12th :- Sydney, Australia ......
After Disemabarking the ship we will spend just a couple of days exploring Sydney before departing to Melbourne, We will be staying at the Meriton World Tower


  •  Dec 12th Jan 3rd :- Melbourne , Australia .....
We fly to Melbourne at 11:30 on the 12th December, arriving in Melbourne at 13:05, we then have a serviced apartment for our first 3 weeks in Melbourne to help settle us in, staying at the Buckingham in Brighton!

  2. well james you did marry the queen of sheba look alike, realy hope imys toes get better soon mum says exma cream and socks old wifes tale keep on enjoying yourselves dam wet and windy here wish we were back in greece hope this one gets to you all, loads love to you all mum and dad.
